Road work at Oregon Caves
A pavement resurfacing project is taking place in the parking lots and campground at Oregon Caves. Repaving will be occurring Monday-Friday from 8am-6pm. Please allow some extra time while traveling to and from Oregon Caves.
Major road construction on Hwy 199
Travelers using Highway 199 between Crescent City and Cave Junction should expect multiple traffic delays beginning as early as May due to ongoing Caltrans construction. For the most current delay and closure information—including upcoming four‑hour full closures—please check the Caltrans District 1 Road Information Bulletin for updates and follow their social media channels.

Hours & seasons
Cave tours are available Thursdays through Mondays from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Reservations are available on recreation.gov for advanced tickets sales. Same day ticket sales will also be available at both visitor centers, but plan to arrive early to secure your spot. Please call our Illinois Valley Visitor Center at 541-592-5125 if you have any questions.
