The Bean Lab: Elementary Lesson

Students will plant and grow Hopi Black Beans in soil types taken from Walnut Canyon National Monument, Wupatki National Monument, and Sunset Crater Volcano National Monument. All materials will be supplied to interested teachers. By the end of the lab, students will be able to answer the question: How does the soil type at Walnut Canyon, Wupatki, and Sunset Crater Volcano National Monuments affect the growth rate of the Hopi Black Bean?
