Ain't I A Woman

0 of 3 lessons complete

Students will compare two versions of Sojourner Truth's speech at the Ohio Women's Rights Convention in 1851. They will evaluate Truth's main argument and identify details used to support her argument. Then, they will analyze the source of the two versions to determine which one is more likely to reflect what Truth actually said. Extend the lesson by reciting the speeches using gestures and expression.
